P0094 – Fuel System Small Leak Detected

Description

The P0094 trouble code indicates that the Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected a small fuel leak or a gradual loss of fuel pressure in the fuel system. This code is commonly found in diesel common rail systems but may also appear on some gasoline direct injection engines.

Common Causes

A leaking fuel injector, damaged fuel line, loose fuel pipe connection, faulty fuel pressure regulator, weak high-pressure fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, or a faulty fuel rail pressure sensor.

Symptoms

Check Engine Light ON, hard starting, reduced engine power, rough idle, poor acceleration, increased fuel consumption, and occasional engine stalling.
