P0095 – Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit

Description

The P0095 trouble code indicates that the Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected a malfunction in the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor 2 circuit. The IAT sensor measures the temperature of the incoming air, allowing the ECM to adjust fuel injection and ignition timing for optimal engine performance.

Common Causes

Faulty IAT Sensor 2, damaged wiring, loose or corroded connector, open or short circuit, poor electrical connection, or a faulty ECM (rare).

Symptoms

Check Engine Light ON, poor fuel economy, rough idle, hard starting, reduced engine performance, and inaccurate intake air temperature readings.
