LTFT (Long Term Fuel Trim) is an important OBD2 Live Data parameter that shows the long-term fuel adjustments learned and stored by the ECU to maintain the correct air-fuel mixture.
The ECU continuously monitors oxygen sensor feedback and adjusts fuel delivery. When the ECU notices a repeated fuel correction pattern, it stores this adjustment as Long Term Fuel Trim.
Unlike STFT, which changes quickly, LTFT represents learned corrections over time.
If the engine frequently runs lean, the ECU increases fuel delivery and LTFT becomes positive. If the engine frequently runs rich, the ECU reduces fuel delivery and LTFT becomes negative.

High LTFT on Both Banks:
May indicate a common issue such as vacuum leak, low fuel pressure, or incorrect airflow reading.
High LTFT on One Bank Only:
May indicate a problem affecting one side of the engine, such as an intake leak or injector issue.
