P0060 – O2 Sensor Heater Resistance (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
The P0060 diagnostic trouble code indicates that the Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected an abnormal resistance in the heater circuit of the downstream oxygen sensor on Bank 2 Sensor 2.
The heater element allows the oxygen sensor to reach its operating temperature quickly after engine startup. If the heater resistance is outside the expected range, the ECM stores the P0060 code and illuminates the Check Engine Light.

- Check Engine Light ON
- Delayed closed-loop operation
- Slight increase in fuel consumption
- Usually no noticeable drivability issues

- Faulty oxygen sensor heater
- Damaged wiring or connector

Inspect the oxygen sensor wiring and connector for damage or corrosion. Check the heater fuse, verify power and ground at the sensor connector, and measure the heater resistance with a multimeter. Replace the oxygen sensor if the heater circuit is out of specification.
