The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B0083 indicates a fault in the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). Depending on the vehicle manufacturer, this code commonly refers to the left-side seat belt load limiter circuit, a front impact sensor circuit, or another airbag deployment component.
When B0083 is stored, the Airbag Warning Light usually remains illuminated and the SRS may not provide full occupant protection during a collision.
• Airbag warning light ON.
• SRS warning message displayed.
• Seat belt pretensioner may be disabled.
• Airbag system may not deploy correctly.
• Additional SRS diagnostic codes may also be stored.
