B0080 DTC – Fourth Row Right Seat Belt Pretensioner Circuit Fault

DTC B0080 indicates that the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) has detected a malfunction in the fourth-row right seat belt pretensioner circuit. The pretensioner rapidly tightens the seat belt during a collision to improve occupant safety.

Symptoms

  • Airbag (SRS) warning light ON.
  • B0080 stored in the SRS module.
  • Seat belt pretensioner disabled.
  • "Service Airbag" message may appear.

Possible Causes

  • Faulty fourth-row right seat belt pretensioner.
  • Loose, damaged, or disconnected connector.
  • Open circuit in the wiring harness.
  • Short to ground or battery voltage.
  • Corroded connector terminals.
  • Internal SRS control module fault (rare).

Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Scan the SRS module and record all stored DTCs.
  2. Inspect the connector for loose pins, corrosion, or physical damage.
  3. Inspect the wiring harness for open circuits, shorts, or damaged insulation.
  4. Check wiring continuity using the factory wiring diagram.
  5. Repair the fault, clear the DTC, and verify that B0080 does not return.

Safety Notice
